Margaretta (Beth) Sangree Lic. Acupuncturist

I come from a background of working in human services, and massage therapy. I first became interested in Acupuncture after struggling for several years with a painful and exhausting chronic illness. Mainstream Western Medicine gave only partial relief, and Acupuncture proved to be the missing link in regaining my health. I was so impressed that I wanted to learn more about it, and I subsequently embarked upon a new career, supporting others to achieve greater health and wellness.

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist certified by the US National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  I obtained my training from the New England School of Acupuncture, graduating in 2010. In addition to an MA degree in Acupuncture, I have additional training in Orthopedic Acupuncture techniques, and I have completed Craniosacral training levels 1 and 2 at the Upledger Institute.

Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, I was a licensed massage therapist, trained in both Eastern and Western massage and myofascial release techniques. Where appropriate, I often combine these approaches with Acupuncture to increase the effectiveness of a treatment. In conjunction with my Acupuncture training, I obtained an MA in Pain Research, Education, and Policy from the Tufts Medical School PHPD.  This academic training has enhanced my ability to work with healthcare professionals across different modalities and approaches, and helps me to better understand the unique difficulties and challenges that patients with chronic pain are facing.

I have experience working with clients of all ages including infants, children, teens and seniors. I have treated a wide variety of conditions including headache, insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety, fertility concerns, menstrual pain, musculoskeletal pain and injuries, arthritis, skin conditions, fibromyalgia, addictions, weight loss, PTSD, neurological conditions, back pain and injuries, TMJ, tinnitus, and digestive problems. Treatments may include a variety of approaches including Acupuncture, Electro-Acupuncture, Massage, Cupping, Moxibustion, Myofascial and Craniosacral work, Acupressure, magnets, and non-needle Acupuncture techniques. If you are afraid of needles do not worry, I can work with you to find an effective method of treatment that you are comfortable with. My aim is to help every client to become more empowered about their health, and to achieve their best health possible!
