Shin-Di Cynthia Lai, MATCM, BSN, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., RN, PHN
Shin-Di earned her first bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, focusing on Exercise Science at California State University, Northridge. She then completed her Master of Arts in Traditional Chinese Medicine and clinical internship at Yo San University in Los Angeles. She is a California licensed acupuncturist and is nationally certified through the NCCAOM. She obtained her second bachelor’s degree in Nursing at California State University, Dominguez Hills. She is also a registered nurse and currently a doctoral student of nursing practice at Boston College.
Trained as an acupuncturist, nurse and surgical technician with degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nursing and Kinesiology, Shin-Di has extensive knowledge of the human body, all of which she applies to help her clients meet their health and wellness goals. She combines her medical training and holistic practice to focus on developing healthy and supportive relationships with clients. Her partnership with western doctors who utilize pioneering cutting-edge methods informs her practice and experience. Her training and background integrate Eastern and Western medicine to offer the best of both systems to enhance the overall wellbeing of individuals. She specializes in pain management, reproductive medicine/fertility, and has over ten years of experience treating various conditions. She offers Chinese herbal medicine and lifestyle/nutritional counseling utilizing current and up-to-date evidence-based practice. Shin-Di offers her clients an integrated approach drawing from the most effective Western treatments while remaining rooted in an ancient art of healing and wellness.
Shin-Di is a Los Angeles native, growing up in the San Fernando Valley. She is an avid sports fan. She was a three-sport athlete participating in basketball, swimming, and track. She enjoys cooking, traveling, going to concerts and sporting events, dancing, and photography.
